Why Should I Get a Breast Uplift in Turkey?

Please note that breast lift surgery is considered a cosmetic procedure and therefore not covered by the NHS in the UK. As a result, you will need to pay for the surgery privately, and the cost can vary depending on factors such as the location of the clinic, the qualifications of the surgeon, the type of anesthesia used, and the surgical technique applied. In Turkey, the starting price for a breast lift is approximately £2600, which is significantly lower than the cost of the same surgery in the UK, which can be around £9,000. How do I know if I need breast uplift surgery?

Ideally, the nipple should be roughly halfway up the breast so half the breast tissue is below the nipple, and half above. A simple way to decide or to know where the nipple is is to look where it lies about the inframammary crease, the crease where the breast joins onto the chest wall. If the nipple is at or below the crease, then the patient needs an uplift. If the nipple is above the crease, no uplift is needed.

What are the scars associated with a breast uplift?

To perform a successful breast lift surgery, additional scars around the breast are needed. There are three main types of breast lift scars.

1. Periareolar or a doughnut lift: Scar around the nipple
2. Vertical or Lollipop Lift: Around the nipple and down. This is the most common type of breast lift.
3. Wise pattern or Anchor shape: The scar goes around the nipple, down, and underneath the crease of the breast like an anchor shape.

Do I need implants with breast uplift surgery?

Whether you need implants with a breast uplift surgery depends on two things. Firstly, how much breast volume a patient has, and secondly, what look a patient is after. If there is minimal breast volume, which may have been lost as a result of either weight loss or breastfeeding, then an implant is usually required. What is the recovery like after a breast uplift surgery?

A breast uplift surgery can be done as a day-case procedure. Usually, it is performed under general anesthesia. The procedure takes one and a half to two hours. All the stitches are dissolvable and the patient goes to the hotel after a night stay in the hospital with a compression bra. It is advisable to avoid any heavy lifting for a couple of weeks. The patient must be walking around from day one. Patients can resume their full range of activity thereafter building up to allow full recovery by four to six weeks.

1. Inframammary Incision: Inframammary incision is the most commonly used incision technique in breast implants surgeries. This incision is located in the fold of the skin under the breast. It is usually not visible as incisions are just beneath the breasts.
2. Periareolar/Doughnut Incision: This incision is done around the areola. The incision is usually made on the lower half or circle around the areola where a breast pocket is created above or underneath the muscle. Afterward, an implant is slid through the incision, moved into the breast pocket, and positioned by the plastic surgeon to achieve the best result.

Subglandular placement (Behind the breast tissue):

This is the most common technique of breast implant placement. The implant is placed under the breast tissue but above the chest muscle.

Submuscular placement (Behind the best muscle):

This technique involves placing the implant directly under the chest muscle. Submuscular placement is generally more stable than subglandular placement and may be a better option for women with very thin breast tissue or who are very active.

Dual-Plane Augmentation:

This technique combines the subglandular and submuscular placements as the breast implants are placed directly underneath the breast tissue and partially behind the chest muscles. This technique is generally more preferred by surgeons as it lasts longer.

You will be given a bra to wear for supper after the surgery. In addition, kindly make sure to take them on time if any medications are provided by the surgeon. We recommend not extending your arms for at least a week after the surgery and we recommend avoiding any physical activity or heavy lifting for at least 3 weeks after the surgery.
